most adorable music video of 2011. the acoustic version of this song is already featured on her current ‘im in love’ EP. this version will be on her sophomore album ‘the bright side’ that will be released next spring. i had the pleasure of seeing her opening for US band Hanson twice last month (this song was the best in my opinion) & after she even posted my pic with her on ALL her OFFICIAL sites i can confirm she’s also the loveliest person. please check out her music & spread the word.

I would imagine a lot of people were expecting a big-budget video, with a dramatic story line when contemplating the visuals for arguably one of the most beautiful and heart wrenching ballads of the past year (or more). It would be understandable then if you were a little disappointed when watching Adele’s latest video.
…But under appreciated this video should not be – it’s simplistic film Noir theme and beautiful portrayal of a woman isolated (yet comforted) in her loneliness is the perfect representation of a song that needs nothing more. The genius behind Adele’s song writing means ‘Someone Like You’ vividly paints it’s own picture – an accompanying video is just a bonus. I thought Adele’s performance was graceful and in parts stunning (the part at 01:13 where she looks at the camera – piercing) and found the long one-take at the beginning captivating.
In any case, I wasn’t expecting (or needing) a video for this song, for more reasons than one – but I’m glad we got one that looks like this.

damn, damn, damn.. i cried :’(( like swifts back to december video, simple but stunning. & to me it didnt need an Avril tweet to tell this are real tears and there were no onions involved. this may propably go out to her ex-husband, so if this is true its clear that she still loves/misses him.. kinda breaks my heart seeing her being that emotional :’(( if u dont get the meaning of the lyrics, u propably dont get Avrils feelings. u propably never will. she clearly opened us her heart with this song. i just love her. beautiful & incredibly talented woman. 2morrow im seeing her again. & i wish one day i’ll get the chance to tell her ‘thank u’ for everything she accomplished & for how her music helped her fans get through many difficult life situations.

(&, for sure, of many upcoming weekends). in case u didnt recognize the sample, its from Avril Lavignes ‘Im With You’. i believe, even if to me a lot of ppl dont realize it, that rihanna is the most influential pop star our planet had in the last decade. she had a big bunch of own hits & a big bunch of hits she was just starring in. this video here is really cool to me. not just bcause of the cameos by Avril & others, also bcause of the great shots it features. on another note- i bet her show im attending on Oct 25th will be incredible.
